An exciting and very rewarding part of my job has been getting involved in the local community.  

Whether it's attending fundraisers, hosting various events, or volunteering, supporting andgiving back to the community has become a major goal of mine as a journalist. 

As a result of mine in the community, I am very honored to have received the 2015 Emerging Leader of the Year award from the Casper Chamber of Commerce. 

One cause I am very passionate about, is aiding in the development of children with special needs.  It has been my pleasure  to help outas a respite staff member at ACM Camp, from 2014-2016, at a Casper, WY Day Camp for special needs children.
